Karen & Bill
For their outdoor wedding, Karen and Bill chose the scenic
Gardens of Malmaison in beautiful St. Albans for the
romantic setting and because it was the place Bill proposed.
The ceremony was held on the terraced lawn under a rustic floral
arbor created by Jill Springer of Flower Depot. While guests were
offered bubbles along with their programs, children were treated to a
box of animal crackers … a perfect deterrent for restless little guests.
After the cocktail hour, guests were welcomed into the
garden tent for dinner and dancing. The tent was
exquisitely decorated by the team from Flower Depot in
the French green and chocolate wedding colors. Green
runners overlayed the chocolate linens. Glorious
centerpieces of orchids and green hydrangeas were set
atop tall pilsner vases filled with orchids, and hundreds
of lit votives created a lush, romantic environment.
Accenting the silver Chiavari chairs, each place setting
included a silver charger and candy favor box.
After feasting on truffle honey glazed salmon, chicken boursin and pork tenderloin au poive
from Malmaison’s executive chef, guests enjoyed scrumptious wedding cake and petite
fours from pastry master Henri LaFitte. The bride and groom and their guests danced into
the night to the sounds of The Groove Thang.
With their passion for music, Karen & Bill invited
guests to sign a musical guest book … a guitar!
After the ceremony, the 186 guests enjoyed cocktails,
including Peach Bellini’s – the signature drink of the
evening. Hors d’oeuvres were served in the lush
garden amidst cobbled pathways, a roaring stone
fireplace and flowing lighted fountain.
